Overview:

Cypress Harbour is a truly great resort.  All units are immaculately maintained and all are basically identical.  Each unit has two bedrooms and a large living, dining and kitchen open area.  All units are refurbished on a regular cycle.  The currently feature a nautical theme in blues and golds.  New countertops are granite.  All appliances are being replaced on the current cycle with all new replacements including the smooth top electric ranges for easy cleaning.  All units have screened balconies/patios (depending on the floor level) with most units overlooking one of the three lakes on the property.  The buildings are 4 stories with elevator service and are graciously spaced across the large resort area.  Landscaping is very beautiful across the property.

Each unit features a King Bed in the Master Bedroom along with dual lavatories, a giant circular whirlpool tub that will accommodate two people and a shower.  The secondbedroom has a double bed and a pull out sofa double bed.  It will accommodate four people in a cozy manner.  It adjoins the second bathroom that is a standard unit.  The living room features a queen sized pull out -wrap around - sofa.  There are TV's in each bedroom and a large flat screen TV in the living area.  Phones are in all rooms.

The resort is situated in the middle - and surrounded by - of the Grande Pines Golf course.   This is a beautiful Faldo Course with instruction available as well as favorable rates for Cypress Harbour guests and owners.  The  property club house features basketball courts, tennis courts, several children play areas, a giant outdoor chess set, a fitness room, a miniature car racing course, pool tables, game room - both electronic and board game areas and more.  Activities are provided for children that they love.   A new 9 hole miniature golf course is now under construction next to the club house.

The resort has a boat house / deck complex on the main lake with ferry service on demand between the club house and the main pool area.  (See some of the pictures on this web site.)

Seasons:

All weeks at Cypress Harbour are rated RED weeks.  Marriott further classifies the floating weeks into three seasons:

Special Season:  (This would equate to Platinum at other resorts.)  Typically priced about the same as Summer Weeks in the resale market.  Sold at a premium price by Marriott direct.  Resale units do not typically have the option to bank for Marriott Points like units bought from Marriott direct.

Summer Season: (This would equate to Gold at other resorts.) Typically priced about the same as Special Weeks in the resale market.  Sold at a slight premium price by Marriott direct.  Resale units do not typically have the option to bank for Marriott Points like units bought from Marriott direct.

Sport Season: (This would equate to Silver at other resorts.) This classification offers the bSoadest week selection but is limited to weeks during slightly lower occupancy in the Orlando area.  (To me personally, the best choice.)  Prices in the resale market for Sport Weeks are slightly lower than Special or Summer Weeks.

Marriott owners have first choice of weeks for both occupancy and trading to other Marriott Vacation Club properties.  All Cypress Harbour weeks are very powerful traders if you  want to visit other wonderful Marriott properties.
